Compost Soil

Spring Lawn Care Cleaning for Clinton, CT

Core Aeration in Clinton, CT.

Spring is clearly on its way in Clinton. As I drive along Old Nod Road, I notice the turf coming back to life, showing new green shoots. On Cow Hill Road, buds are bursting on shrubbery. The residents on Walnut Hill Road might be looking out onto their lawns and maybe thinking of core aeration to rejuvenate their turf. Everyone has seen the results; although only temporary, it looks like a large flock of geese camped out for the weekend. core aeration left in yard

But here at Lawn Science, we get better results with our own lawn aeration program, using liquid aeration, a formula personally developed by the owner of Lawn Science. We have an organic proprietary formula of kelp, compost tea and humates. This program gives the turf optimal nutrition.

The lawns on Beach Park Road are looking alive, but what lawn couldn’t benefit from an organic based lawn care program? I go along and I notice the grass cutting companies and yard maintenance companies getting to work. It’s that time of year to start cleaning up from the winter and preparing for the busy growth season.

Spring Lawn Care Cleaning for Clinton

Maybe you’re wondering what a local family-owned lawn care company like Lawn Science can do for the turf on your street? Things look good now, but with the coming heat and humidity of summer, your lawn can become stressed if it’s not properly fed. This can give an advantage to any weed and crabgrass seeds to take hold and take over your lawn. Even with the advantage of a sprinkler system in place, the grass has a hard time resisting weeds, fungus and pests that want to move into the neighborhood.

That’s why we spring clean Clinton lawns organically by repairing and feeding the natural CT culture. The more healthy your lawn, the less likely you’ll have pests and weeds. And guess what keeps a lawn healthy? Good bacteria, fungi, and worms. A complete lawn ecosystem.

The Lawn Science 5-step Organic Based Lawn Care Advantage

We keep your lawn’s ecosystem thriving with our 5-step organic based lawn care program. No more “lawn care in a bag” full of chemicals and pesticides that are unhealthy for your lawn in the long run. Our lawn care applications are compost based. Compost is a natural fertilizer that works its way into the soil after our liquid aeration application. That way your lawn gets healthy food to build the soil and feed the grass.

We offer this 5-step organic-based lawn care application with ALL of our full season lawn care programs.

Our team spent 35 years attending classes and seminars, even experimenting on their own lawns, to carefully fine tune a program that can give your turf every advantage during all stages of growth.

I’m on my way through town, driving along Shore Road and and Commerce Street. I am seeing more green grass and budding foundation plants. I finish up my tour of Clinton on Pratt Road and Liberty Street with my car windows open, taking in the fresh spring air and imagine a town with healthy green lawns, ready for a whole season of family fun.

Clinton, CT’s History

Clinton’s history continued to blossom with visits from none other than Benjamin Franklin, Colonial Postmaster General, who personally determined the site of a Boston Post Road milestone marker on Main Street. The milestone marked the distance — 25 miles — from that spot to New Haven. As Clinton thrived, hundreds of trading ships were built and launched from Clinton’s shipyards and the Ponds Extract Company (now part of Unilever) set up shop in town to harvest, process, and bottle witch hazel. For generations, vacationers, artists, and year-round residents have found pleasure and a deep community spirit at our shore. Since 1938, the Clinton Historical Society has researched, recorded, and shared stories of Clinton’s past.
